Day 5

Well, as mentioned in my last post, today is the final day of competition for me at the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. I have had a truly amazing experience, I have met numerous famous people during the course of the week, and last night after leaving the pool, I spoke to Australian Breaststroke legend, Sally Hunt who swapped one of her bullet caps for one of mine, then later, turned up and gave me one of her Australian training costumes, I am so happy!! I spoke quite a lot to Sally over the week and we had a few giggles to the fact that she was twice my age!! On a serious note though, she spoke a lot about her experiences and I really enjoyed her company. I just hope that in 4 years time, if I manage to qualify for the next games, that I bump into her again. Thank you Sally!
